Engagement Report upload
After making good the losses suffered in our victory at Planebruch our units moved toward Bad Belzig where they encountered a company of American marines with mechanised and armour support.
Our motor riflemen were able to occupy the outskirts of Bad Belzig whilst enemy infantry infiltrated the towns church and churchyard. enemy armour in the shape of M60s prevented our recce forces from closing with the enemy infantry but the arrival of dedicated ATGW support in the form of our Shturm platoon ensured that the enemy tanks were slowly neutralised. Unlike our recent German opponents US tank crews proved to be brave and despite many hits win the enemy we were forced to await for the arrival of our T64 supports before we were able to completely destroy every enemy tank, they enemy were also brave in attempting to engage us in their jeep like vehicles, these were easily dealt with by our recce elements and the enemy was soon left clinging to the churchyard with his infantry, supported by long range artillery fire. At one point enemy aircraft made a low pass over our tanks but were driven off y fire from our tank commanders AA MGs. sadly as we were positioning ourselves to begin the process of destroying the enemy infantry with tank fire, night fell, wary of our enemies significant close in anti-tank capability we were unable to press our advantage, despite having lost only two tanks, and having destroyed most of the enemies vehicles. The enemy was able to withdraw its surviving infantry under cover of darkness, but we had bloodied the noses of these arrogant imperialist marines
A little light on the report.
recommendation for your first draw 😉
hard fight Comrade
Tough fight.
Sounds like an arm wrestle
Great work comrade. Keep driving them!
I wish there was a tourney near me to get a good bunch of game. Thanks for posting
Thanks Mark / as Mark had indicated I was running the tournament and only had an old iPhone so photos from me are at a premium – also I’m writing from memory of 3 games so a turn by turn blow by blow is not possible – anyone familiar with my writing style on Breakthrougj Assault will know I’m not a fan on turn by turn but thanks for input 🙂
I was the opponent in this one, will be posting photos in my report ASAP.
Just to give the guys asking a bit of information on behalf of Redvark; these games were part of a tournament that ran on Saturday. So there may not have been a lot of photo opportunities.
Good report but a picture paints a thousand words….
Fought to a standstill? Sounds intense. Too bad we have no footage of your heroic battle comrade.
