Firestorm: Stripes

Turn 1 (Dark)
Brought on a mech platoon (5th) which headed for the south objective. Milan’s on building bailed one BRDM. The BMPS and BRDMs opened up on them so I could spot them easier.

Turn 2 (Dark) No reinforcements. Pulled the fwd deployed Milans back as the Soviets had sent a MRC on that flank. The two Milan on the building destroyed 1 BRDM. Basically had 4 Milan 4 scorpions and some FV 432 covering south objective behind wall.

Turn 3 (Dark) Brought on last mech platoon in north near the storage tanks (tan bumps) so I have two platoons to go after north objective. The soviets countered with a MRC in the north (note Bill runs small MRC ie the 5 bmp ones). He also moved up his FO within 12 “ of the UK infantry with no support.

Turn 4 (Dark) Spartan MCT arrived – parked them in center with the idea to interdict soviet north south movement. Scorpions killed two BMP that got a little venturesome. Also ranged the Mortars in on the 1st MRC in the south. I wanted soviet attention here. Mech platoon overran the observer and consolidate on hill in wood sat night..

Turn 6 Dark but Dawn breaks for the Soviets. Stated to set up to attack north objective with the Chieftains arriving. Concentrated Milan fire destroyed the remaining BRDM/BMP s in the center. Ive got two mech platoon supported by the mortars and Chieftains coming up. FV432s move up to suppress soviet inf. Soviets got two reinforcements (HINDS!) and the T64s and revealed the AT5 BRDM ambush I had forgotten about. The Hinds engaged the Chieftains killing one and the rest engaged and destroyed 2 Spartan MCT.

Turn 7
Moved Chieftains toward the north objective and moved both Mech platoons to engage depleted Soviet inf around north objective. Milan’s, Scorpions and both Spartan MCT destroyed the T64s, AT5 BRDMs and all BMPs in the south. Chieftains destroyed some Shilkas and the last BMP s in the north. The mech platoon assorted the north objective. Epic fight ensued. After the smoke cleared out of 2 Soviet MRC only one stand remained in possession of the objective with two British stands that had retreated. He passed his last man test and the HINDs killed a second chieftain (losing one hind) and the arty killed the last chieftain using direct fire. The last BMP (cmd one I think) killed a 3rd scorpion and the last scorpion failed morale.
