Leipzip.
Mission: Encounter
Attacker: US
First Turn: US
The first photo below shows the entire US force. Half of the units are held in delayed scattered reserves.
Soviet forces deploy BMP-2 Scouts using Spearhead and forward deploy 1st Company T-72 in crop field cover. US deploys 4 Abrams in tree line between crop field and objective. Will have to overtake Abrams and avoid cross fire from second Abrams unit at mid-table. Another Abrams unit is deployed at the far end of the battlefield behind woods.
On one objective, Soviets deployed the Carnation battery with 2 Gophers for AA support. An Observer and Battalion HQ are also deployed. Soviet forces held in reserves include 2nd Company T-72, T-64 Company, AA units and air assault unit of four Hinds with infantry.
In turn one, Abrams unit on far right (shown above) starts move toward objective, while unit in tree line on left fire upon the advancing T-72s. In the first turn, 3 T-72s are destroyed and one is bailed. A shot at a BMP-2 misses.
Returning fire, the four remaining T-72s score 2 Abrams kills and bail a third. The remaining Abrams fails a morale check and runs. Score one unit destroyed. BMP-2s also fire on the US tanks, destroying one in the mid-field woods.
Turn 2, US calls in air strike and a pair of A-10s take aim on the remains of 1st Company. The T-72s fire AA MG and score two hits. Both aircraft fail their save and the firepower rolls are successful. A-10s are shown departing in flames.
Only chance of victory relies on Battalion Commander making a successful cross check and moving onto objective. Likely sacrificing his own life, it could prolong the fight until Reserves might be called in. Unfortunately, BT fails his cross, bogs down in the woods, and is unable to contest objective held by US tank unit.
A well formatted report, I like the ones that can tell the story through captions.

A horse, my Kingdom for a horse.
Bad luck to lose a game on one’s own bogging roll, but it seemed a foregone conclusion either way.
Another victory in Leipzig. Berlin is getting closer
Great Job Commander…. I like the idea of keeping the cards behind the Platoon. Going to try that this weekend… Bravo Zulu…
Nice AAR, but that had to have been hard to lose those A-10s like that in one turn!
Keep fighting for America and freedom!!
Tough luck But well played. Nice looking vehicles
