All right here goes….. I don’t have any pictures of this battle(sorry for all you vizualites!!) my phone died prior to playing the game and this was a dry run of my forces.
I’ll give you a brief description of the lay the table and terrain. The tables long sides are E/W and the short sides are N/S with the WP player on the North, WG Player on the South. A road runs from NW corner to SE corner and a small town sits in the lower SE quadrant, trees to the both the North and West of the town and another road runs from the middle of the southern sector to the middle of the eastern sector, both roads go right through downtown, 2 hills flank the woods to the West.
Set Up: I lost the roll off. He took the NW corner to set up and I the SE corner around the town.

Turn 1: After a quick setup the battle was on; the 2x BMP-2’s raced down the road toward the town encountering my 2X Luch’s.
1 Tank co of 4 and 1 Tank co 3 of T64’s followed suite, the 3rd Tank co of 4 T64’s started a push around the to the East in a flanking move.
3 BMP’s raced around the other flank on the west side of the table behind the hill.
After the moving and several failed Blitz Orders it was on the shooting, which was less than miserable for them. 7 shots from the T64’s and 4 shots at the from the BMP 2’s at the Luch’s; Not a 6 in the house, for me being concealed and GTG hiding in the woods.
I didn’t have much luck bring in my Air support, I rolled a 1. I didn’t move this turn, But had much better rolling my attack dice, as the Luchs sent the 2X BM-2’s up in smoke and the Leo2’s camped next to them in the woods sent 2 of 3 T64’s up in smoke, the last one liked it- he rolled a 6 For is Spirit Test.
2 shots from the HQ Leo2 in the town failed to do anything to the 4 co T64’s.

Turn 2:The lone T64 passed it’s Spirit’s check again, with a 6, and the Red Tide was on the move again.
With a passed Blitz move the last 2 BMP’s moved up close to the Luchs in the woods around the left and the loan T64 moved up to the wood line against the 2X Luchs also. While the 2 remaining 4 co of T64’s used Blitz moves to move closer to the town and the objectives.
During the shooting the loan T64 made up for losing his comrades as he sent the 2 Luchs up in smoke leaving the 2 BMP’s no targets.
The 1st co of T64’s managed to bail 1 Leo2 in the woods, while the 2nd co hit everything but the target.
This time I acquired air support and 2 PAH’s moved to the South side of the town. Passing my remount on my bailed tanks, I moved all co’s back in the town to prepare for the coming assault.
The 1st co Leo2’s bailed a T64 and the HQ Leo2 bailed a T64, poor dice rolling……. the last Leo2 co hit everything but the target.

Turn 3:The loan T64 again Passed a Spirit Test while the 1st 4 co of T64’s moved outside the town to the North(looking south) and the 2nd 4 co of T64’s moved in from the East (looking south) and the 2 BMP’s moved in from the West(looking East). This wasn’t looking good for the home team a this point……
With some excellent rolls(and poor rolling on my part), the BMP’s bailed 1 Leo2, while the 1st 4 co T64’s wreck havoc on the loan HQ Leo2, bailing him out as well. The 2nd 4 co of T64’s didn’t manage anything but ricochet’s, the Leo2’s saved all hits. No shots were taken at the PAH’s hiding behind the houses.
I managed to remount my bailed Leo2’s, thanks to my leader being present, and proceeded to move my 2X Leo2’s from the left flank facing the BMP’s to the middle of town to help the HQ Leo2’s finned off the 1st 4 co of T64’s coming from the North. This time all shots rang true,as 4 out of 6 hits where 6’s the other two were 5’s. 3 T64’s failed their save the, 4th was bailed out. The 2nd Leo2’s on the right flank managed to hit 2 of the 6 shots on the T64’s and those being destroyed. The PAH finished the job after popping up and scoring 2 hits on the last two tanks in that co and sending them up in smoke after failing their saves.
The loan T64 and the 2 BMP’s decided it was time to find another party, back in Moscow, and departed the Battle area with haste leaving 1 bailed out T64 in it’s wake.
This is my 1st report and 1st game of TY. It was fun, but I will be fielding out a different list. I could see how this might have gone the other way had I not made some “on time” rolls to save the day or my opponent rolls were better.

Another example of an interesting 2×2 Leo force that seems to be working. Nice job, Sicarius. Can’t wait to see pictures as part of the learning about how to use a force like yours, is seeing it move out on the table, beautifullly painted or not!

    bayankhan;
All my models are “NATO GREEN” right now. I managed to get them together and base coat them before the game. BF distribution is a little slow at the moment.
My list of 64pts consists of Leo2 HQ -1
    Leo2 Pltn 1-2
    Leo2 Plnt 2-2
    POH – 2
    Luch – 2
This is all I have at the moment, I’m gathering my army as we speak, I didn’t want to miss out on any of the action.

Congratulations on the win. I’d recommend splitting up your paragraphs a little more, so it’s less of a ‘block’ of text. But a good read regardless.
