Firestorm: Stripes

I decided to have my 2 Infantery Companies and my Gophers on the table. Flo brought his Cobras, 1x M1 platoon, his M106, Vulcans and the infantery from the beginning.

Turn 1:

My infantery dashed Forward. My plan was simple, overrun the americans with my overwhelming infantery force.

The M1 opened fire and destroyed 3 BMPs. Then the Cobras fired their rockets on my advancing infantery and killed 7 Teams. Ouch. The M113 also killed three. Was it a good idea to push Forward?

Turn 2:

My infantery psuhed Forward again. Then my BMPs fired their Konkurs Missiles on the cobras, but did not harm anything. My other BMP Company killed two M1. One of my infantery companies killed one vulcan, bailing another one.

The cobras fired their gatling cannon on the infantery, killing one Team. The M113 killed another three Teams. Again... ouch. On the other side the M1 platoon killed four Teams. I rolled so bad for my infantery saves.

Turn 3:

I decided to Keep my infantery back. My BMPs killed one Cobra and one M113. My infantery destroyed another Vulcan with their RPGs.

The M106 fired on the infantery and killed 3 Teams. The Cobras wanted to give them the rest, but one got shot down by the Gophers. The M1 and mech. Platoon destroyed 9 Teams. At this time I was afraid to lose all my infantery and BMPs. I rolled so badly...

Turn 4:

My Hinds and T-72 arrived from reserve. I immediately placed the Hinds behind the vulcans. The T.72 killed two Teams from the mech. platoon and the Hinds, one was lost to AA fire, destroyed the Vulcans.

Flo did not get any reserves. The M1 managed to kill two T-72 and the M113 destroyed 1 Infantery Team.

Turn 5:

My BMPs and Hinds destroyed the last two M1 in the Woods. The T-72 killed another three Teams from the mech. platoon.

Flo got his M1 from reserve and they fired on the T-72, bailing two. The M106 and M113 destroyed one Hind with their 0.50 cals.

Turn 6:

My T-72 pushed Forward and split their fire. One managed to kill one M1, the other ones destroyed two Teams of the mech. platoon. Then they charged and killed the mech. platoon to the last man.

The Scouts and ITVs arrived on the field. The M1 drove Forward and shot at the T-72, killing 2. That was not enough and I won, because the T-72 were contesting the objective.
