Windsor, We moved up to our blocking positions per your orders following actions of Bad Sassendorf. I arrayed my forces with First Platoon, 3 Coy holding the center dug in, in a wheat field between two hills with the Milan Plt. from 4 Coy deployed on the hill to their right to give them a better field of fire. Second Plt 3 Coy was deployed dug in, in a strip of woods on the other side of the Herzfelder Strasse guarding our right flank. Along with the Scimitar Troop from Dragoon Guards. Unfortunately one of the Scimitars slipped a track going into the woods and would be delayed.

Hostilities commenced with Ivan moving his Armor up our right side to the right of 2 Plt and the Dragoons. A Company of Motorized Rifles in their BMP's moved down Herzfelder Strasse trying to split the Command in two. 2 Plt reported fire from the T-64's with the mortar team taking it on the chin again!! The other Motor Rifle company moved up the center and dismounted their charges into a wheat field and brought up the AAA behind them. 11 Troop sprung their ambush when they opened fire on the T-64's killing 2. The detached 432's of 2nd and the Milan Plt turned to face the BMP's coming down the road. Combined fire from the Milan's and from 2 of the Dragoons managed to knock out 5 BMP's and bail another two! only 5 Inf. teams and their RPG's and a single RPG managed to survive the onslaught along with the BN CO after they were forced to leave their mounts and came under fire from the 432's.

The surviving Soviet rifles of the right Company moved into the wheat field with my Command and track in it. We readied ourselves for the onslaught. The bailed BMP crew's decided against remounting their tracks and stayed under them. The survivors turned off of the road and drove into the flank of 11Troop up on a hill. The Center Rifle Company moved up engage 1 Plt, 3 Coy. The BMP's on the right side fired into the flank of 11 Troop killing two and bailing out the Troop Commander. The T-64's advanced to engage the surviving Chieftain and missed every shot!! The Inf. engaged my track with RPG fire destroying it and assaulting my position. I was able to survive the assault and moved to join 1 Plt to my left. 1 Plt engaged the MRC to their front destroying 1 track and bailing out 4 others and managing to bag an Infantry stand as well as their RPG.

The center MRC managed to remount 3 of their tracks and moved forward to engage and then assault 1 Plt and detached 4 BMP's to assault the Milan's on the hill to the right. The Infantry began to spread out and attempt to flank us on our left side. The BMP's fired on 1 Plt but failed to score any kills as well as their accompanying Infantry. We retaliated by firing on the BMP's to our left with Charlie G's and LAW's killing one. The detached 432's from 1 Plt moved around to the left to engage the Soviet flanking force that were moving into the woods there killing one stand and pinning them. the 432's of 2 Plt moved up to engage the Infantry that had overrun my previous position killing 2 and pinning them also.

The Soviet Commander moved his T-64's over to contest the right objective. The BMP's on the right side moved you engage the Milan Plt killing 3 of the 4 and forcing a moral check which he passed in typical Irish fashion!! The Infantry to the left fired at 1 Plt and failed to score any hits. At this point the Abbot Battery from the RA arrived as well as the MCT platoon and fired after a successful Blitz move engaging the AAA killing 2 and bailing a third. The survivor managed to pass his morale check. The Dragoons repositioned and took the BMP's on the far right hill under fire killing all 3 of them. The surviving Milan from 4 Coy and the Milan's from 1 and 2 Plt's fired at the T-64s killing one and bailing the other. The 432's of 2 Plt along with the FA took the MRC Infantry under fire and destroyed them to a man. The MRB Commander was able to escape the killing when he ran to seek cover in the north behind his destroyed BMP's. The 11 Troop Commander managed to remount but forgot to move!!! the 432's on the far left fired up the MRC in the woods again pinning them again and killing another stand of Inf.

The surviving BMP's engaged the last milan team on the hill and finally managed to kill him after assaulting him. Two BMP's engaged the Dragoons killing 3 and forcing the survivor to check moral which he failed. The surviving T-64's moved to engage the last Chieftain and bagged him after failing to remount their tank on the objective!! Plt fired their Charlie G's and LAW's at the BMP's on the hill killing both. The last MRC fired at the 432's and 1 Plt and failed to do any damage. Return fire pinned them again as well as killing another stand in the woods. At this point the Soviet Commander conceded the game as I still hade another Infantry Platoon as well as a troop of Scorpions to bring on and he had no hope of securing either objective.
