Firestorm: Stripes

Both sides used spearhead before the movement phase.

Turn 1

The East Germans move their BMP scouts and BMP1s into the light woods as the T-72s cover their left flank. The T-55s start rolling on the far left. The arty fails to find the range.

The Americans move up and the M60s manage to bail a T-72M. The ITV hits and bails a T-55 (spearhead enabled it to be in a good position) But the arty used copperhead rounds and crushed 3 T-55s.

Turn 2

The T-55s engage the M60s at long range and miss. The T-72Ms share the same fate. The BMP1 scouts and BMP1s engage the M113 and knock 1 M113 out. Arty rolls a 1,2,1 and fails to range in...again

The US CO and the M113s move up and KIA 1 BMP1 scout. 3 M60s fire at the T-55s--and score 6 hits...4,5,5,6,6,6, killing 4 and bailing 1. US artillery hits the BMP company and manage to bail one.

Turn 3

The East Germans pull back to get out of that lead storm.....my big mistake. The T-72Ms are trying to clear a lane so I can rush my BMPs up the hill, they score 3 hits and the American rolls a 6, 5, and 5 as saves...unreal. The last M113 is knocked out by the BMP1's and the artillery hits the scout M113 on the hill and the ITV is still bailed.

The American scout platoon fails morale and flees. The American saw that I made a huge error by withdrawing the T-55s and now moves his tanks around my left flank and tears into my T-72Ms killing 2 and also killing 2 more BMP1s. Arty fires another round of copperheads and finish off the T-72Ms

Both sides have lost 2 units each. Mike won't attack, and I can't get anywhere near the objective. The Germans fall back and await reinforcements.
