West Germans, along with their allies have launched a new offensive aimed at Berlin. Tank divisions are being rushed into the Breddin area to stop this offensive and to enable us to resume our offensive westward. The Mission of the 13th Tank Division is to seek and maintain contact with an unknown German Panzer Battalion somewhere west of Breddin.

Turn 1
Russian
I think Adam misunderstood the game rules and thought he would go first. He left a Leo1 platoon in the open. My scouts used spearhead to get a good position to fire ATGMs if needed. The T-64s moved up-nothing to fire at and the T-72s moved and fired at the Leo1 platoon in the open-KIAs all 3!!!

German
Not a good start. The remaining Leo1 platoon fails its blitz move, The Leo 2 platoon also fails its blitz move but moves up to engage the T-72s(7) they KIA 2 and bail 2. On the right, the Marders attack one of my BMP-2 scout sections they KIA 1 and bail 1.

Russian:
My BMP-2 scouts flee!!!! 1 T-72 wont remount. TheT-72s fire at the Leo2s and they make their armor saves. The T-64s see the threat forming and turn and engage the Marders killing 2 of them. The storms fire at the leo2s and miss.

German
The panzergrenadiers pile out of the burning marders and are pinned. The remaining marder passes morale and moves into the wood line. The leo1 zug passes its blitz move and pours flanking fire into the T-64s killing 2 of them. The Leo2s fire at the T-72s and KIA 1!!

In an odd twist-since I am the defender, I must roll for dusk and I roll a 5!! Darkness has fallen!!

Russian:
The T-72 still wont remount. T-72 nv=24. They move up and bail a Leo2. T-64s regroup and move up nv=8 fire into the Leo1 platoon and KIA 1. The storms and remaining BMP-2 scouts move.

German
The Leo2s pass morale nv=20 and the bailed tank remounts, They fire at the remaining 3 T-72s and get 4 bails-one fails its remount so 1 T-72 is abandoned. The Leo1 CO moves nv=16 and KIAs a T-64 (flank shot) the others manage to bail another T-64

Russian:
The T-64s fail morale and flees!!! The T-72 remounts (3) nv=16 and they fire at the Leo2s and KIA 1. The storms nv=20 and they fire at the Leo1s all miss!!! BMP2 nv=20, but they fail their blitz move so nope and they move back even further.

German
The Leo2 zug passes morale-so with nv=20 the CO and the remaining Leo2 fire at the T-72s-they KIA 2 and bail 1. The Leo1 roll 2 1s for their nv so cant see anything.

Russian:
The remaining T-72 passes morale but wont remount. Storms nv=24 can see and fire at the leo1s and again miss. Worse they fail their shoot and scoot.

Germans:
The Leo1s again roll 2 1s-how can that be?? so cant see. The Leo2s have nv of 20 and can see and fire at the storms-they get 4 hits and 3 kills. With the Russians only having a BMP-2 scout section (2 BMPs) we are forced to fall back.
