+++ WEST GERMAN TURN 1
- Reserves - Leopard 1 platoon -
Soviets had started with the Hails and a ranged in marker right atop one objective. Frym3n stayed clear of it in deployment but managed to move three of his Leo's so they could fire at the Hails and Gophers, destroying 2 each and the last Hail fled the field.
+++ SOVIET TURN 1
- Reserves Hinds -
Hinds deployed out of range of half the Gepards.
Infantry company moved against the unguarded objective.
Gerpards downed a Hind, but the Hinds destroyed a Leo 1 (Formation commander) and a Leo 2. - Having earned their points there and then.
+++ WEST GERMAN TURN 2
- Tornados arrived from reserve - but failed to appear on the field -
Leo 1's moved to engage the BMP's and destroying two.
Gepards moved to engage the Hinds and brought one down.
+++ SOVIET TURN 2
- No reserves -
- Hinds left the table with two remaining -
Storms attempted to Blitz but with 5+ skill failed. 4 BMP-2's fired their missiles at the Leo 1's and destroyed both.
Here the weakness of small formations was clear. The formation leader was lost and no formation units remained in good spirits so the last platoon in reserve was lost.
+++ WEST GERMAN TURN 3
- Luchs arrived from reserves -
- Tornados failed to arrive -
Leo-2, Luchs and the Marder HQ moved to engage the Soviet infantry and destroyed 4 teams with their combined fire.
+++ SOVIET TURN 3
- T-64 arrive from reserves, right on the left flank
The infantry unpin and advance. The Storms move towards the centre of the field.
Formation commander T-64 moves to target the Leo 2's.
The combined fire destroys one Leo 2 and bails the other but the last one passes morale.
+++ WEST GERMAN TURN 4
- Still no Tornados -
Leo 2 fails to remount. Gepards, Luchs and Marder open with heavy fire on the infantry and destroy several teams and pin them.
+++ SOVIET TURN 4
- Other T-64 Coy arrives and on the left flank -
All T-64 move to engage the remaining enemy. Storms move into woods with LOS to the Gepards.
Shooting takes out the Leo 2 and two Gepards.
+++ WEST GERMAN TURN 5
- No Tornados
Remaining Gepards redeploy to face the Storms, Luchs fire at the infantry.
Gepards manage to destroy a Storm and bail the other two but the do not flee.
Combined fire from Luchs and Marder destroys 2 more infantry teams.
+++ SOVIET TURN 5
- Last reserves, Shilkas arrive and move to cover the T-64's
T-64's move to contest the objective, Storms remount.
Storms managed to bail a Gepard but they pass morale.
T-64 destroy the Luchs.
+++ WEST GERMAN TURN 6
- Still no Tornados
Gepard remounts and the Gepards destroy the Storms.
The Soviets had 10 formations at the start (counting the BMP's) and had already lost the Hails so this was the first unit lost that counts.
Little else happens
+++ SOVIET TURN 6
The T-64's were in full possession of the objective at the start and would be at the end of the turn.
Soviet Victory.
Post battle thoughts,
a very different battle from the last. It would have been fair if the Tornados had at least made one appearance but that was not to be.
Hails didn't last long but they did affect the West German deployment and that was something.
It was clever to start with the T-64s in reserve, then they would at least get one turn of shooting before the West Germans could retaliate. Advancing the infantry also helped as the Leo 2's had moved to intercept them and were in the open when the T-64 arrived and the arrived on the right flank.
A solid win in an important Theater.
I warned you stay out of Bremen, that will bring you mayhem
another nice AAR over familiar terrain; nice pictures
Well player comrade commander. Congratulations on your victory. Great report.
Thanks for the games i had a blast!

Yes he has Jaguars, but in this battle he was tempted to go with Leo 1’s and 2’s. Frym3n won the first game easily – https://firestormstripes.warconsole.com/battles/red-alert-vs-frym3n-1523668643
Good job R. Alert. Congrats on the win. Nice move with the T-64s, keeping them in reserve, to allow them first shot on the leo´s.
A good win, well done! but the WG player had a very fragile force, the Leo 1 formation was very prone to breaking if they lost a few. A shame the Tornados did not turn up as well. I dont usually take Leo 2 unless Im at 100 points or more, they are just too much of a points sink. Does he have jaguars?
Great job
Another fine report – but this time with a resounding victory to match!
Congrats Comrade General. Another victory, another retreat for the puppets of Imperial Aggression.
