The Kapitalists attack Hamburg in force!
"Die Amerikaner ist here! We need reinforcements! Where ist sie Commander?!"
Taking control of 9th panzer battalion reinforcements waiting for orders at Hamburg the USMC attacks at dawn, catching us off guard but not entirely unprepared.
The USMC has arrived in force under the cover of darkness and starts with a massive bombardment on the infantry position, but thanks to the readiness the kompanie they were dug in and no casualties were suffered. The Abrams rushed forward and took the BMP's by surprise, knocking out three in the field before they knew what hit them.
When the attack was confirmed Battalion command rerouted four Galya's (Hind's) in response, dropping an assault kompanie to defend the flank. Shilka's confirming that no air assets were in vicinity decided to go on a hunt, see if the artillery spotters known to hide among the shrubbery could be found.
The Abrams continue to advance aggressively but it was still too dark for them to confirm targets. BMP's advancing quickly under artillery barrage while the Galya's took off to support against the Abrams. Thinking that dawn was still an hour away the Galya's lined up for side strike but as they released they took massive AA fire that knocked out two of them, the Amerikaner had snuck in VADS reinforcements close enough for visual in the twilight.
"Nicht gut, Scheiße!"
Dawn breaks, BMP's and Spandrels break as the Abrams and Artillery open up. The other two Galya's get the full wrath of the SAM battery, going down in a ball of flame.
The Amerikaner kick it up at dawn and push in towards the objective, Abrams leading the charge, them the VADS and a unit of M113 raining lead on the Air Assault kompanie downing four teams.
Reinforcements!
The Commander arrives with two units of T-72M's, his own right into the side of ever aggressive Abrams, taking out three before they could respond. The fourth one was seen driving into the distance, afraid of the Soviet Might!
The other unit of T-72M's, arriving too far west to assist the commander, took out one M113 assisting the Shilka's as they advance under fire from Dragons.
With the loss of the Abrams, the USMC platoon assaults the air kompanie in the wheat field, decimating them in a combination of MG fire and CQF as revenge. Meanwhile, the concentration of fire is shifted towards the centre, bombarding the other unit of T-72M's, knocking out two. The infantry kompanie was so well dug in the VADS storm joined by M113's did only two casualties.
Third unit of T-72M's joined the fight! Rushing up the east flank, attacking the M113, in support of the commanders unit contesting the objective against the US infantry platoon.
The centre objective clash was a stalemate, one VAD knocked out by RPG-7 shot and the solo T-72M failing to hit the M113 Spotter.
Sie Mighty Power of sie Amerikaner ist kaput!
Artillery failed to range in and Schutzen kompanie so well entrenched against the VADS fire, suffering little casualties.
Now for the T-55's! Unit and Käpitan blitzing in and knocking out three VADS! while the infantry managed to wreck one of the M113.
The east flank was still contested but the T-72M's were working on it, knocking out three M113 behind the shopping mall, while marines got the full wrath of the commander.
It was getting too late to continue the battle, we called a timeout, so this ended in a draw as the 9th Panzer Division fought the United States Marine Core to a standstill outside Hamburg.
The Centreline infantry deserves a commendation for bravery under fire as well as the commander for arriving just in time to knock the Abrams out and off the objective. (Note to self: find a better use for Spandrels)
I want to thank the US Commander Gandri for a well-fought battle and a great evening!
I think I'll aim for a smaller battle next time...
Very nice report, well done guys

Thank you all ^_^
+bayankhan – Well maybe they hid them in some west german garages, ready to pick them up when they are just off the beach (^_^)/
Excellent reporting. Those Marines are a pest.
Nice table set up
Nice report as always.
Nicely done, Victor. I wonder how the USMC got those Abrams ashore? They didn’t fit in the landing wells of their amphibious assault ships back in the day. Perhaps they built big barges out of logs like our grandfathers did in the Great Patriotic War. Nice battle.
Nice job. Great report looks like a lot of fun.

Looks like you landed a little sideways and it ended that way as well.
Nice write up 🙂
Agreed, another great report.
Another awesome report.
Recommendation given.
