After the bloody battle in Amsterdam Stavka sent us back to Brandenburg for refreshments. But with the dire situation in Leipzig we were orderd to move out and help clear it. While moving into our assembly area we were informed about a british attack heading in our direction.
The frontline was guarded by the motorized infantry, a T-55 Battalion, a Spandrel platoon, Rocket Launchers and a BMP Recon platoon. They recognized that the british forces had infiltrated already the area.
The british force landed an airmobile platoon at the Warpac flank and brought in Harrier air support. The heavy AA armarment on the T-55 and the Gremlin that were issued to all motorized infantry brought down both harriers.
The british force acted very carefull taking no risks so only few shots were fired.
This was the moment when all BMPs moved forward and pushed hard against the enemy. Nato isn't attacking anymore, we have the initiative! This attack reduces the mobile Milans to a sole survivor. The mortar platoon runs away after being hit by a long range shot from a BMP at the objective.
The loading crews of the BM-21 do an extraordinary good job and keep the central parkin lot with the dug in british infantry under constant rocket fire.
The push of the BMP on the right flank and T-55 on the left let the Nato lose their initiative. They are now in firefighting mode.
While the BMPs remove the reserves the T-55 from the left flank in combination with our own reserves and some BMPs from the center remove scorpians, transports and infantry from the other flank. The British forces are under extreme pressure, being outnumbered and encircled, cutted off from all reinforcements.
The situation for the british force was hopeless. with a last courageous move the Chieftains claimed the objective but got surrounded and shot to pieces by the waiting T-55.
With the 6th turn of the Warpac the game ended. Having only lost a BMP platoon it was a 6:1 for the NVA. Althogh it was a high scoring victory it was a though fight and a really interesting game. I am used to Veteran Forces in FoW so I wanted to try and use the mass of my army to gain the initiative as the defender. And it worked really well. When I decided in turn 2 to go all in and pushed the BMPs forward Larks had to react. He was the attacker and wanted to claim the objective but with all these tanks pushing at him from all sides he had to defend his ground and was not able to secure the objective. Having cut off his main force from the reserves he could do little to improve his situation. If he had moved his Chieftains to support the besieged reserves he wouldn't be able to seize the objective and would get flank shots from T-55. The mass of tanks and APCs in comination with the large frontline overwhelmed the NATO. He couldn't play to his strengths by limiting the Warpac units that can engage in the fight on a small frontline.
This game again showed me that I love my Warpac force of lots of inexpensive stuff. It was fun to move around, shooting stuff and don't have to care about losses.
I am in TY-mood now and my FLGS will be happy about that :-)
Congratulations on the AAR and a nice-looking battlefield.
Congrats on the win.
Nice job
Congratulations and commendations! A decisive win in a crucial sector…
Very nice report – and a good-looking battlefield.
Always attack. Always, always, always attack 😀 !
Well done on your battle. Keep it up.
congrats comrade-the brits are tough opponents-well done
If Nato wins 6:1 it is pure luck. If we win 6:1 it is due to our outstandig battlefield skills. Our commanders are real officers and no arm chair generals like the Nato ones.
//OOC: I had some single tank units left that couldn’t be destroyed because there were no british forces left in that area that could shoot them. I always fought with a punctual numerical superiority.
A 6-1 against that list?… you must be the luckiest player ever.
Well done Comrade! A tremendous victory and an outstanding AAR!
Ausgezeichnet, Genosse!
6-1 against Brits is not an easy feat, recommendation more than earned!

Comrade Psycho, you’ve made quite a mark.
Welcome to the right side 🙂
