Firestorm: Stripes

MY CHOPPERS ARE OUT GETTING PAINTED SO I USED THE MAGIC CARDS AS PROXIES. I USE A COMMISSION SERVICE AND MY ARMY WAS STOLEN ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND WAS PLAYING V4 MIDWAR. THE SOLO VADS IS A FIST, I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LACK OF PAINT AND PROXIES, THE VADS IS A FIST

Turn 1 – M1IPs took out 3 BMP2’s before they pushed down the right flank. As the infantry moved into the building in front of the tanks. The Soviets then moved down the right side of the battle field with the BMPs. The proceeded to destroy the AAVP’s in the woods.

Turn 2- The soviets got reserves and pushed up the right side of the board to the pound. and attempted to remove the infantry from the large house. Trading Main gun shots with LAWs from the infantry.

Turn 3 – The Soviet frogfoots took out 2 of the MP1Ps from the hull down position, after losing 2 planes from Stinger fire concealed in the woods. A section of HMMWV’s showed up to the rear of the BMPs that had managed to turn the corner and start down the flank.

Turn 4 – A Marine Rifle platoon attempted an air assault the Shulka’s that managed to show up the previous turn. The managed to bail one and destroy one. The Huey’s managed to kill a couple of teams with covering fire. The Abrams commander took a hit from a storm and lost the vehicle while trying to preposition. The Shulka’s took out one Huey and failed to remount one vehicle. And the soviets started advancing the through the woods in the middle of the board to the farm house.

This game went on for about 9 turns before calling it due to time. And with the FAQ changes to AA getting to shoot at transport helo’s now not sure if I will play this list again. On turn 5 I put the another section of hueys next to the farm house to try and shoot the infantry that just moved in to that position, The choppers are pretty much free, and I think I traded them for 1 or 2 stands. 4 sections of HMMWV’s can in on the back of the board and did a decent job of holding the BMPs in place.

I had the M113 scount sections road dash up the right side of the board but they got chased down by the BMPs.

Overall thoughts on changes. If I keep the M1IPs I will add more AA as the Frogfoots where very effective . I will add more AT weapons to the Marine INF to apply more pressure to the BMPs.
