Prologue:
0430 near the Frankfurt sector
Captain Custer is meeting with Colonel Crook for a new mission.
Crook: “Sit down Captain.”
Custer: “What is the new mission, Colonel?”
Crook: “Division has ordered us to divert from Leipzig and help our friends in Frankfurt.”
Custer: ( Sighs with a bored look on his face.)
Crook: “You are all so eager to get on with it, here’s the mission. Your company will attack toward the small town of Fahrfrumlaffin. Anything that is Russian, kill it. Understood?”
Custer: (Gets up , salutes and walks out the door)
Crook: (Muttering to himself) “That guy will get himself into trouble his charm can’t get him out one of these days.”

This is a total annihilation mission. This is taking place in the Frankfurt sector.

The Americans have first turn as both the M1 platoons moved and shot, destroyed 2 T72 tanks and bailed out the third.

First casualties go to Captain Custer's men!

Russian turn one: The Russians move the T 72‘s to a better position to bring more gun tubes against the M1s. Five shots on one and each M1 platoon losing a tank.

Wait, we lost two of our tanks?

American turn two: Custer moved forward to engage and while he hit a tank it didn’t do any damage to it. The M1 platoon on the right flank moved forward to do a flanking move on the T 72 company. They fired resulting in one tank being bailed out. The M1 platoon on the left fired and they took out two tanks and bailed a third. This fight is getting gruesome.

You do not get away with destroying one of my tanks!

Russian turn two: The Russians moved again to bring more gun tubes to bear on the American units.
T 72 company brought three tanks next to the bailed out tank firing on the American platoon they destroyed one and one the platoon past it’s morale check the other platoon the other T72 company pulled forward on the roadway firing as they went on the M1 tank destroying it. On the other side the T72 company fired on the other M1 platoon, destroying an M1 forcing the platoon to roll for a morale check. They passed and kept on fighting.

Oh this is not looking good!

American turn three: The remaining M1 on the right platoon did a cross country dash to help reinforce the left flank so right now the Americans are giving up the right flank to try to get away from the T72 company. The M1 in the other platoon fired, and missed both shots.
Custer, in his tank the “Gary Owen,” moved to the road facing down the T72 formation commander on the road, fired a shot hit and did not penetrate.

Custer is not giving up just yet!

Russian turn three: Formation commander moves down the road to go and shoot the Abrams from the side fired and missed. The other 3 T72s of the company of the company fired at the one remaining American M1 Abrams and missed the other T 72 company is now moving forward they failed a blitz roll They are now moving forward to try to catch the remaining and one of the other platoon in the rear.
The American platoons needed to roll to see if they still stayed in the game. One platoon led by Lt. Benteen (Lone survivor) retreated off the field. Now there are only two American tanks on the field the company commander’s and the remaining M1 in the other platoon. This is a very fragile situation for the Americans at best.

Casualties mount!

American turn four: Custer moved down the road the remaining M1 Abrams also pull down the road the commander is getting a side shot at the Russian formation commander and rolled snake eyes with the two dice! Meanwhile the other M1 fired hit both remaining T 72‘s in the group destroying one and the other failed morale! Russians have the formation commander one T 72 company of which there are four members out of six we have the for American formation commander and one M1 Abrams.

Keep firing boys! We can take them!

Russian turn four: Formation commander pulled back with his back to the words facing off against the two remaining M1 tanks the remaining T72 company is pulling forward with one tonight getting a shot at the American formation commander and missed and the tea so I need to commander of the formation also missed not done yet.

Advance!

American turn five the commander in the remaining M1 pull back on the road out of line of sight of the remaining T 72 company so there were four shots against the Russian formation commander. Three hits two possible bailouts failed fire power.

Capt. Custer is smiling as the T72 formation commander is back against the ropes!

Russian turn five the Russian tank commander ran away toward the other T72 company that was coming up to get out of the line of sight of the M1 Abrams no shooting in this turn.

Wait!! Where did the T72 go?

American turn six: Both M1s move down the road specifically to turn and face the Russian formation commander and fire at his tank three hits out of possible four shots resulting in just a bail out!

The Russian are sensing a victory here! Can Capt. Custer pull a victory out of the jaws of defeat?

Russian turn six: The formation commander could not remount his tank and what’s left of the T 72 company moved forward to take side shots at the remaining M1 in the tank platoon and was destroyed. Captain Custer is in shock as he is the only US unit left on the battlefield.

How did it come to this?

American turn seven: The formation commander pulled back still taking the two shots at the formation commander of the T 72 formation and knocked out the tank!

Russian turn seven: The T 72‘s circled around for the kill. One had a side shot but missed the three remaining T72‘s fired resulting into hits one was the bail. The last shot was the shot that took out the Captain Custer‘s tank.
The 7th made its last stand and bought time for more troops to move up.
Soviet Victory 5-2

Capt. Custer went out they way he wanted to... in a hail of shellfire!

After the battle a lone helicopter flew over the battlefield to learn of Captain Custer's fate.
