Elements of the mechanised recon battalion with armoured support advanced on Russian front lines. Commander Branigan or the “Chin” as his troops called him, surveyed the axis of attack. The small village of Underpantsen sat near the central crossroads with various hills and copts of woods scattered on either flank, a challenging but complex area, ripe for recon to “LEAD FROM THE FRONT!” “A PROPPER CO-ORDINATED ATTACK WILL FIX THE ENEMY WITH THE FORHEAD AND SURROUND THEM WITH THE HORNS OF THE BULL, THUS ENSURING VICTORY!” he roared.
First turn
M1’s came on ready to show who was boss. My M113’s took cover to gain the best positions for observing and maybe take the occasional shot with the hammerheads. Further reserves will bombard area’s when they come available and The MI’s will crush the reamains.
But wasn’t to be, one of those games, that nothing happened as it could have or statisically should have.
Reserves only came on one at a time, from the third turn, recon unit’s got picked off like cherries on a sunday with surgical presision. M1A1’s died or ran, at one part of the game two platoons of M1’s had run 4 bailed and 4 killed for the loss of 4 t64’s. Recon 113’s faired no better being shot out of the tree’s with again pin point accuracy time and time again. No air and very little artillary, 4 elements of enemy infantry dieing and 4 BMP 1’s.
The “Chin” surveyed the battle field commenting “something has happend to our armour today “, “all unit’s with draw, and whoever is playing that damn Beatles song turn it down, damn it!”

I had a friend write this because I’ve lost sight in one eye and cant read the font without making it larger in the other.

” This is why I missed the advance on the right side!” that what they told me!

I’m a bit confused by what actually happened here. A little more effort on these reports will boost your points, but playing the battle is the main thing. Battle on!

  • Victor says:

That are some Soviet looking Americans…

Unable to post this as a Warsaw Pact win? And I’m saying that as a British player.
