Firestorm: Stripes

Annihilation mission; seeking vengeance after a series of hard-fought defeats and many losses, T-72 Battalion encounters US forces near Frankfurt and go on the attack. US, defending, takes first turn and first shots are aimed at the Storm unit in a far off tree line. Four shots fired, three hits. They never saw it coming. Three small companies of three to four T-72s, move up trying to use the woods as cover. Several had difficulty with terrain, failing cross checks (see dice-shaming photos below). On turn two, 2 T-72s were destroyed, and by turn 3, 2nd company (three T-72 tanks) was destroyed. Repositioning the remaining two Soviet tank companies, and moving the Battalion Commander out from the woods to engage the US Command unit, proved fatal to the remaining Abrams at the end of turn 3. With only a scout team remaining, the US M-901 attempted a desperate shot with its TOW and missed. Bottom of turn 4, the M-901 was destroyed. His M-113 buddy, the sole survivor, retreated.
