Firestorm: Stripes

US Counterattack. After narrowly grasping victory from the jaws of pre-dawn defeat, the Soviet 625th has little option but to regroup its few remaining units and try to hold the village until reinforcements arrive,… or at least until the McPizza King opens up for breakfast (the crew were hungry after the long night battle just a few hours earlier). With just a handful of T72s and a company of T-64s waiting in ambush, the American Abrams tanks pushed their way into town. The T-64s did their usual good job of shrugging off hits, but failed to make any hits off their own. The T72 unit held its objective for four turns but was eventually overrrun before reserves could arrive. The battle ended at turn five. With the Soviet Commander destroyed and no units in good standing, any hope of holding the village was lost. More to come. I’ll post my army list later.
