The Mission

US armored elements are attempting to cut off our strategic redeployment toward Hagen. Your command is to leave Sprockhovel NLT 0900hrs local in order to stop this advance and clear the way for the rest of the Regiment. You are likely to encounter front line tanks and infantry-the clear skies mean that air assets are likely but not confirmed.

Exposed BMP2 scout pays the price for carelessness
Superior Russian tanks destroy inferior Western tanks!!

Turn 2

US Turn
The remaining M1 flees. Things look good for team RED. The US CO moves to engage the T-64s and the remaining M1 platoon moves and engages as well. The US scout platoon (M113 and ITV ) move in behind the factory. The M113s move toward the edge of town. The ITVs on the hill bail the 2 remaining BMP-2 scouts. The M1s only KIA 1 T-64.

Russian Turn
The BMP-2 scouts pass morale but 1 does not remount. The Hinds arrive and attack the M113s. The T-64s move to fire at the M1s and the CO. The BMP-2 infantry company (mounted) moves and engages the M113s. The T-64s KIA the US CO and bail another M1.The BMP-2s tear 1 M113 into scrap and bail 3 others. The Hinds destroy one of the bailed ones-the infantry team is lost as well.

Hinds shred the M113 infantry.

Turn 3

US Turn
M113s fail morale-things look good for an early win. M1 remounts and the scouts move up. The ITVs on the hill KIA 1 T-64, The M1s move up and fire a punishing volley into the T-64s-killing 3 and bailing 1!!!!!!!!

Soviet Turn
Ouch!! The BMP-2 scouts flee, leaving an objective open (with a US scout platoon close) The Shilkas dash to the edge of the town trying to reach the objective. The T-64s pull back, the BMP-2s move up within reach of the objective. The Hinds move to stop the M1s-they fire their 50 cal. and knock a Hind out of the sky.

T64s staggered.

Turn 4

US Turn
Scouts manage to move to within 6 inches of objective, ITVs shoot down the last Hind. M1s Kia a T-64-the last and bail the COs T-64.

Soviet Turn
Shilkas move in to cover the objective. T-64 remounts and fires at the M1s-miss. The BMP-2s get to 8 inches of the objective -no bogging down.

ZSUs prepare to defend the objective

Turn 5

US Turn
The M1 remounts, they fire at the last 2 T-64s and fail to do anything to them. The scouts move on to the objective and a 50 cal. tears up a Shilka. The ITVs attempt to take out the last one but miss.

Soviet turn:
Does the Shilka pass morale........yes a 6!!! The T64s bail an M1. The BMP-2s are now on the objective. The Shilka fires at the US scouts-and ........1,1,2,2,2,4-so a bail. But it does not matter as there is nothing to prevent the Soviets from winning.

Game is over.
Soo close.
Lucky win
BMP-2s on the objective-our redeployment can continue.
