Having spent some “quality” time away from the front, I returned to my command fresh and ready for action.
Given the orders of high command to attack, I decided that I would use the area around the farm as a staging area for the assault. Knowing that West German armor is in the area, I knew they would probably go for the long range gun battle of attrition. A hard prospect for us having only 6 T64s available form the motor pool.
The objectives high command has set for us are up on the high to our right and over in the parking lot of some burger/pizza business. As the men are growing tired of in field rations, I suspect they will be most motivated if we go for the burger joint in hopes of liberating generous helpings of bourgeois McBurgers and Fries.
With the Leopard 2s smoking, the West Germans are wondering where their reinforcements are. Their Tornados and another platoons of Leopard 2s are desperately needed it would seem.
Congratulations comrade. Well played.
Nice report, comrade
Great AAR? I like the gaming table. Thanks for sharing
Yes WG player should have sat back and punished the Soviets in moving forward, and waited for reserves, but if you dont make mistakes you never learn, Thanks for the report, congrats on the win
Always outnumbered – never outgunned. In theory 😉 !
Hard start to the rescue of Brandenburg by the West Germans. Good AAR and congrats on the win.
Get that Thrawn into my West German forums and we’ll teach him some tactics 😉 For real though, he might be using an illegal list, I assume that there must’ve been reserves with so little on the board from his side? A good report though, captions always help tell the story 🙂
Kinda hard to see exactly how the West Germans went wrong, but clearly charging into T64s front was where it started. Tough loss for us, Thrawn, but learn from it and get him next time.
Go easy on new players (I assume?). Especially ones wielding Leopard companies
Well done Comrade! Congrats on the win.
Congrats comrade
Nice AAR
