Where do I start????? I set the table up to represent and town using Google Maps as a reference of places in Hamburg. I planed on using the roads as fire lanes for my tanks. When my dad decided the mission as Recon by Force I thought about using my tanks speed to crab the objectives and the infantry mounted in the BMPs to secure them for the turn needed. I took a small SAM unit as dad had been talking about putting some Cobras in his force…. PYSHO OPS at it’s best. Made me believe he was going to use them…. It was a real “look, who has your nose” type job he pulled on me….
Anyway we rolled for deployment areas and I scored behind the bridges in a very tight area, but close to two objectives, plus a third was on the road I had my BRDM2 on. Plan was to shoot down with the BRDMs and secure the far objective while the BMPs and tanks got the second. I’d then flood the church with infantry before he could get there and it would be all over before turn 3, time for tea and medals…. well so I thought.
In truth that road turned into a fire lane that sucked up most of my armour. The direct fire from his tanks was murderous as was the artillery fire.
Being a tactics instructor for the army my dad really taught me some stuff tonight. Ended up loosing most of my force to killing a few infantry stands… 1-6 loss.
Amazing Table. Thanks for sharing and GO NATO.
That table required a lot of effort. That alone earned you a commendation.
Congratulations to your father on the win.
Crazy Packed Table! 😀

Very basic, but everything important is there.
Including the win.
Comrade,
Outstanding table! We’ll miss you when you’re sent off for re-education…
Awesome table. Looks like dad still has a few dirty tricks up his sleeve … I do the same thing to my nephew
Nice report. Short and sweet.
A nice short AAR, but lord is that an awesome table! Too bad for the loss Comrade, but it looks like it was a great game.
Awesome table
Great report. Keep fighting comrade.
It is a lovely table. Seems like sometimes you get one over on your Padre, other times he gets one over on you.
Beautiful terrain set up Comrade;
Soviet pacify cities by using Divisional and Front Artillery even in peace keeping perations.
Recommended for set up, thoughts and perseverance!!
nice brief report. I’m sure your Dad told you about the 3Bs of briefing – Be Brief, Be Bright and Be Gone
That’s a pretty short and sweet BatRep! I have to commend you just for the simplistic approach haha
Also major kudos on the table, this looks amazing. I wish we had you to make our tables for the games my buddies and I play.
