We played encounter. As you can see in the attached pictures, there were lots of hedges a few forests and some hills. A black top road ran across the board in both directions, as did a rail line.
West Germans started jaguar 1’s, Gephards and pz gr zug on the board (plus hq). I started with t-64s, storms, acacias and one bmp-2 march on the board (along w hq and op).
WG sat back and let me advance. Which was mostly my t-64s playing hide and seek in the middle of the obard with the Jaguar 1s. His Gepards would keep my infantry from advancing on my left. (until killing 2 gephards on turn 1 w/T-64s).
Whilst playing hide and seek, I lost 1 t-64 to a Milan. I did manage to work half my 64s down the factory building toward he left objective, but then the leopards arrived (turn 4) and killed the remaining 3.
I finally got some luck on my turn 6 and took out three leopards in one turn between bmp-2 (2) and storms. 2nd mech Infantry took out a luchs platoon.
We decided to end it after 6 turns and call it a 2-1 draw.
Better luck next time.
hard fought! thanks for playing,
Those Panzer grenadiers are tough, you did well against them!
Hard fought battle. Thanks for posting.
I see it now, right about the star rating for the battle report. 🙂
Army has been attached since almost posting, but I have a hard time seeing it (yet when I go to add it again, it is there and I can see it….).
Leopard 2’s. Which when I’d lost my T-64’s to them and all I had left was T-55’s, I was like ‘this games over’, but finally my guided missiles hit and did damage!
Leo Is or IIs? Inquiring minds want to know!
You could pretty much see the setup from the pictures, they were early in the game. Trying to enjoy the game and not make a chore of BatReps. Having said that, yes it could use some more detail.
Being a bit more descriptive would definitely help. Maybe a turn by turn writeup and at least a bit more info about the mission/setup.
